CHROMAesthesiae is an installation by SOFTlab (jose gonzalez and michael szivos) at the Devotion gallery in New York. It’s made of laser cut photo glossy ink jet paper and every panel has a unique color gradient. They’ve choosen for very simple technique to build the funnels: binder clips. Colorful!

On their website I also found some really interesting animation. SOFTlab worked for an Poiret – one of the first french fashion  designers – Exposition which was held last year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Chicago. Even I do not know so much about animation, I am quite sure that the fact to present fabrics has to be really hard.

The main interest in the project was to showcase the structural complexity of Poiret’s garments is achieved with great economy of means.
